"Blossoming"

Waking up early never gets old. I was inspired to paint this after one very early morning hike this past fall. After a long trek in the dark, I came into this meadow right as the sun peaked over the mountains. The cool season grasses and flowers are a pleasant surprise this time of year. As the sun illuminated the sky at first light, it contrasted the valley floor so perfectly I knew I wanted to capture it.
