Canoe trips were always the highlight of my summers when I was a kid. We would paddle and portage far into the wilderness areas in search of good times and great fishing. I learned much of my knowledge about the outdoors from these trips. The best times however were always after long days on the water. The cool evening air and the warmth of a cozy fire. I used to love listening to the loons call back and forth under the night stars. I imagined the perfect place to rest for the night in this painting while the Northern lights dance colorfully above.
