The golden eagle is one of the most dominant birds in the sky! A species such as this is definitely more precious than gold itself. I'm so inspired the sheer dominance of this species. They rule the skies and yet they are so majestic and noble at the same time. An animal that truly demands our respect. This artwork was completed using a combination of colored pencils, pastels and graphite. This drawing was completed back in 2007. At the time I was trying to find a way to develop a style that was realistic, yet pushed the boundaries of creativity. This artwork has held a very special place in my heart ever since.

11x14" on heavyweight vellum paper. Framed and matted.
