"The Calling"
High up in the mountains, far away from any human contact there exists a serene-like feeling that one can only experience by hiking miles off the beaten path. Many times I've hiked through seemingly endless forested country only to step out into an open such as the one depicted in this painting. This place doesn't exist literally, but instead exists only in my imagination. I'm so inspired by the feeling I get while exploring the back-country and I wanted to capture that feeling in a painting. The valley is as calm as could be after a recent rain shower, indicated by the steam rising from all the low areas. A lone wolf breaks the silence while calling out to any others who might be nearby. The sun's rays break through the clouds and mountain peaks, calling out to all of us. I wanted this painting to spark that urge inside of us that makes us want to get out and explore life. The mountains are calling for you. Can you hear it?
Specifics:
These are high quality giclée prints, printed on a canvas paper. The prints have a subtle canvas texture to them and have a matte finish which pairs perfectly with the acrylic glass they are framed under.
The sizes specified are the paper dimensions and the overall dimensions of the entire piece will be between 4-7" larger. For example: The 8x10" matted, framed print will have an outer dimension of 14x17".
Please take note that 30x40" framed prints are printed with an art board backing and framed in 2" frames.
