"The Heavens"

After finding a camp spot well above the tree-line, I spent the evening plein air painting a piece you might recall which I titled "Into The Heavens." I'm so captivated by this part of the landscape that I knew I wanted to study it a bit more and in a larger size. I found the light dancing through the hills and horizon to be just perfect and I wanted to make that the focus of this painting.
